About the Farm
Plane Meadow is a small-scale, diversified, and intensive farm located in the heart of Tivoli, NY. We specialize in growing delicious, high quality produce for wholesale outlets throughout the Hudson Valley.
Growing on 1.5 acres, we strive to maximize production, while using cover crops, compost, and organic fertilizers to keep our soil balanced, and healthy from year to year. While we are not certified organic, we follow organic practices.
How the Farm Got Started
The farm was established by the late artist Brice Marden and his wife Helen Marden.
Originally started to provide their restaurant, The Corner, with the freshest produce for their menu, the farm has since expanded to selling to a wide range of high end, local restaurants.
Farm Expansion
In the winter of 2023, we built two high tunnels. One un-heated tunnel that we use for season extension, and a second smaller tunnel that is heated and functions as our propagation house. Both of which have allowed us to continue to diversify our production.
